Privacy notice
Who we are
InFlight Software, Inc. ("Inflight"), 11 W 25th St, Floor 7, New York, NY 10010, USA, is responsible for the personal data described here. This notice covers the participant portal at inflight.review and the studies you take through it. A study's own consent screen describes that study's recording in more detail.
What we collect when you apply
Your name, email address, state of residence, and, if you give it, a mobile number; your answers about work context, comfort with new software, device, microphone, quiet space and browser; and the time and version of each agreement you accept. Later in onboarding we also collect the results of identity, phone and payment checks. Identity documents, selfies and face templates stay with the providers that check them; Inflight receives only the decision and a reason family.
What we collect in a study
While a study is recording (a red dot shows): your voice, a video of the study tab, what you do on the study product, and your answers. We never use your camera and we do not record other tabs, windows or apps.
Why
To review your application, run studies, pay you, keep the panel honest, and, with your separate study consent, to train and evaluate AI models on de-identified recordings. We email you about your application and your studies. If you give a mobile number we may text you about your studies and account; we do not send marketing texts.
Who sees it
Customers who sponsor a study see de-identified findings. They never buy, browse, contact or re-identify participants. Providers (email delivery, database hosting, identity and payment checks) process data only to do their job for us. Meta, Reddit and Google receive the ad-measurement events described under Cookies and tracking, and nothing else. We never sell data that identifies you.
Cookies and tracking
The portal keeps your application progress in your own browser's storage so you can finish it later. It runs no analytics.
Because we advertise the panel on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Reddit and Google, the public pages load the Meta Pixel, the Reddit Pixel and the Google tag. They tell those platforms that a page was visited, that an email was entered and that an application was finished, so we can see which ads work and so the platforms can stop showing the ad to people who already applied. Each tag sets its own cookies and may link the visit to your Meta, Reddit or Google account under that platform's privacy policy. We never pass the pixels your name, email, phone number or any answer you give.
Under California law this counts as "sharing" for cross-context advertising. You can opt out: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser and the pixels do not load at all; block them with a content blocker; or adjust your ad settings on Meta, Reddit and Google. Opting out does not affect your application.
The panel is for US residents. If your browser looks like it is outside the United States, the Meta and Reddit pixels are not loaded, and for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the Google tag runs with consent denied, which stores no cookies and sends no personal data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Email support@inflight.review from the address you applied with and we act on the request within 30 days and confirm when it is done. Once your account page is live you can also do this there. Deletion covers every system that holds your data. Some records must be kept for fraud and legal reasons; we tell you which.
Retention
Application and account data is kept while your application is open or your account is active, and for up to 12 months after a declined application or closed account unless you ask for deletion sooner. Study recordings are kept while needed for the purposes above; a de-identified version may be kept indefinitely. Identity decisions are kept as long as the law requires.
Where data is stored
In the United States, with providers under contract to us. We do not use the portal to collect data from people outside the United States.
Children
The panel is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes
We version this notice and date each version. A material change is shown to you before it applies.
